Help Me With My Next Book By Answering One Multiple Choice Question
C'mon, everyone has an opinion!
Sometimes, when academic rigor is NOT called for, I conduct some informal research to help me with some of my writing. The last time I did so, I took to my Facebook page to ask people about what was in their gym bags and where did they keep them when not in use. My sample was limited but it gave me a jumping off point for part of my last book.
Now, as I work out details for the introduction of my next book, I find myself genuinely curious about your opinion on cutlery—specifically I want to know which utensil you find the most comforting.
If I still have your attention, wonderful! I appreciate you taking a moment to read this and to answer my poll. Your answer really will help me write my introduction.
I acknowledge that this list in not comprehensive; for example I intentionally left out spork because how many people really have sporks lying around?
Lots of people love to share their opinions! Please share this post with folks, especially if you know people who you think will absolutely have a preferred piece of cutlery to eat with when times are tough!
My youngest left for college last year. Our cutlery is a mishmash of wedding originals, the occasional supplemented ones as they would disappear with the school lunch boxes and the garbage disposal. The ones from our wedding are fine enough, but there is this ONE spoon in our drawer that I got years ago with a couple more from a fancy kitchen store that I love so much. It thrills me to no end when I reach in the drawer and get the "good" spoon!
Spoons are my comfort utensil - chicken noodle soup when I’m not feeling well, but have to eat but something; my wife’s home made potatoes soup, or her vegetable soup, after dinner yogurt, and of course ice cream; a spoon works great scraping the last melted ice cream off the side of the bowl; Ahhh, I’m good now;
